Tall Night Flowering Moonflower (Ipomoea alba) is a stunning tropical vine grown for its enormous, fragrant 5–6" white blooms that open at night and fill the air with sweet perfume. These fast-growing vines climb 15–20 feet tall and spread 3–6 feet wide, perfect for trellises, fences, or patio displays. Moonflower is one of the garden’s most durable annuals (or tender perennials in zones 10–11). Sow seeds directly after frost, or start indoors 6–8 weeks early. Plant 2–3 seeds ½" deep and 24–36" apart in full sun with rich, moist, well-drained soil. Seeds germinate in 14–21 days. Native to tropical Americas, moonflowers are among the few varieties that bloom only at night, making them ideal for moon gardens or evening enjoyment.
