I have not noticed a scent to these. We have our dishwasher run energy efficient so we do have water on our dishes when the load is finished, therefore we get water spots for air drying. We used to get water spots with any past dishwasher brand so I don't hold that against this brand. All dishes come out clean, we've had no problem with residue or food staying on dishes.

Great everyday pod for aluminum and crystal drinkware! Doesn't tarnish the aluminum rice cooker pot and doesn't etch or cloud my crystal drinkware. If there is leftover oil or fat on the pans, I get ugly hardwater spots. Best to scrub off the fat residue before running in the dishwasher. Shipping leaves 30% of the pods broken but the powder can easily be scooped into the dishwasher detergent tray.
