Modern Geometric Peel and Stick Wallpaper

First let me state that I am about as close to a pro as it gets when it comes to RoomMates self stick wallpaper. I have purchased much of it online and inside the Walmart stores. I am telling you MY TIPS and you may do something different but just so you know it works for me. THIS particular design paper, may bubble up when you hang it on a wall. If your wall is tall, you very well might see it bubble and wrinkle on the wall the lower down the paper gets. That is OK if you see it do that. Within a few days, you will be amazed that the bubbles and/or wrinkles are all gone. This particular paper does look very nice when matched but I did not bother to do that. I just wanted the wall covered period and did not bother to match it. You will see that in the photo's. Some of the RoomMates self stick vinyl paper, applies itself differently depending on the wall and your house humidity. I ordered ten rolls of this Dk Grey Modern Geometric and I noticed it had some wrinkles in it as I rolled it out. I also noticed when applying to to the wall, some dye came off on my hands THAT IS OK too. IF you find dye comes off on your hands, simply wash your hands. If you want to, you can use gloves or a soft cloth when applying. Remember, if you can't get the bubbles out, don't get worried. Wait a few days and I can almost guarantee you, you will feel amazed within a week or less. This is what I do 1. Purchase the set of 3 plastic spatula's online here at Walmart or in the store over in the paint isles. Do NOT use metal spatula's. 2. Have screw drivers to remove outlet covers/switch plates. 3. Take a hammer and removed nails and/or hammer in what you can't remove. 4. Cover holes or fill in all holes in the wall. 5. Sand drywall holes that you filled/patched. 6. Do NOT use soap on the drywall if at all possible. Instead, take a damp cloth and gently go over wall to remove dust particles and allow wall to dry completely. 7. Purchase 1 inch or less paneling nails. 8. Use scissors and tape measure of course but also use a carpet blade knife for clean cuts. 9. Apply to wall by pulling off backing at no more than 2 feet at a time. 10. Smooth on to wall with spatula per 2 feet and also go over it pressing with your hands in circular motion. 11. Be sure to cut the paper at least 2 inches longer than needed. 12. Cut off excess on the wall at the top and/or at the bottom with the carpet blade. 13. Nail two paneling nails per one sheet of paper at the top only. The reason why you want to place a couple of nails at the top is in case it does come loose at the top, it won't all down and stick to itself. 14. Purchase a bottle of the Gorilla glue to keep on hand. IF you should see the paper loose in an area, you go put a spot of glue. Some people may use spray adhesives but I don't due to overspray and bleed through. I believe the RoomMates self stick wallpaper is wonderful but you really do need to take your time and know how to apply it so that you will be a happy camper. :)
