This is the best moisturizer that I've ever used on my 4C in terms of the depth and length of moisture that it imparts. However, it tends to make my hair matted. So I use it sparingly around the edges and light all over AFTER it has been carefully detangled. It can also be a bit greasy, particularly if too much is used. Mizani's Coconut Souffle is a great alternative conditioner that serves a similar purpose. It is almost as effective at imparting moisture without a greasy feel. Unlike the H2) whose moisture lasts 2-3 days, Coconut Souffle lasts 1-2 days on my hair. Unlike the H20, the Coconut Souffle does NOT make my hair matted. Both the Mizani H20 and Coconut Souffle are great products that serve similar purposes.

As a black girl with thick natural hair, I know the struggle of finding the hair product that will work for your natural hair. I have experimented with many natural hair products over the years to find the perfect fit for my hair. I have tried As I Am hair products, Shea Moisture, and Cantu products, but those hair products have only weighed my hair down. They also did not add enough moisture to my hair. However, Mizani's H2O Rose Conditioning Hairdress is the perfect fit to enhance my thick, natural curls. Mizani's H2O Rose Conditioning Hairdress is the bomb! This product adds long lasting moisture to my thick hair, elongates my braidouts, and does not leave any build up. The first time I used this product was right after I washed my hair. I worked the product through my damp hair starting at my roots down to the ends of my hair. The conditioning hairdress instantly made my hair super soft which made it easy to comb and detangle. Also, the smell of the product was very lovely which is a plus because I love for my hair to smell good while I am styling it. After I detangled my hair with this wonderful product I french braided my hair and eagerly waited one day to see the outcome of my braidout. When I took my braids down the next day my curls were very fluffy, bouncy, shiny and soft! My hair did not experience a lot of shrinkage, but the curls were still well defined. My braidout lasted about five days with the use of this product which is longer than what I am used to. I was able to pineapple my hair at night and wake up to the same fluffy curls because this product has a good hold for my natural curls. Sometimes I will rebraid my hair with this product after I have let my curls flow for about five days. I never experience any build up or sticky residue when I use this product for a second braid out without washing my hair. Overall, I am very impressed with the wonders the Mizani H2O Rose Conditioning Hairdress produces for my braid outs and it is definitely worth the price!
