When planting individual plants, dig hole 2x as wide as the container or root ball, and blend a 50:50 mix of garden soil and native soil. Wonderful product and great shipping.
My soil around the house has a lot of clay and I needed the soil to transplant (5) five avocado trees. Unfortunately, when I took the trees out of the planter, the soil around much of the root fell off. I immediately mix the Miracle-Gro soil and mix it with the existing soil. The same thing happen to me with all five trees. Too my great surprise, all of my trees made the transplant and are thriving. Each bag was individually boxed separately and the arrived in great condition. I would recommend MiracleGro and Wal-Mart Online to gardeners out there.
