Quiet, strong, and just one wish

Pleased with the Evolution disposal (PRO Bolt 880). Quiet, quick and efficient. Only thing that would make it better is an option for a less blocking top gasket than the Quiet Collar. Yes, I understand that by having such a small hole, it keeps a layer of water on top which blocks the noise, but all the rest of the time it also blocks the peelings, the bits of food waste, and even the suds from going down the drain till you push them through the standing water by hand or utensil. Since the disposal does its work so quickly, I'd gladly trade the quiet collar gasket for one like my old Kenmore had with more open flaps on the gasket. Since the gasket comes out easily, Insinkerator, how about offering a more open optional gasket?

Replacement

I ran into an issue with my original Insinkerator PRO 880LT. When I called customer service the agent was informative, asked great questions and in the end sent a replacement unit. There was no haggling, arguing or anything like that. I was presented options and made a choice. When the unit arrived the instructions were simple to follow. The unit was installed in a matter of minutes. I could not be happier.

reasonably quiet compared to our last one. Very efficient. Like the fact it plugs into a wall socket as opposed to being hard-wired. I didn't install so not sure if easy to install. Likewise, I do not know enough about the range of different products to know if innovative
