CURT CUR13119 Class 3 Hitch & Towing Parts & Sets 3500 LBS Towing Capacity for Honda CRV

The hitch itself is of great construction and I don't have any concerns about the hitch itself holding up for the rest of the time I have the CR-V. The installation was difficult and it took about 2.5 hours compared to the 30 minute suggestion install time in the instructions. I read reviews on the Curt site where people said they were able to install the hitch without removing the splash panel on the back but I wasn't able to so had to remove the splash panel and cut through the panel and batting which took additional time. I would recommend spraying WD-40 on your muffler exhaust hangers immediately once you are ready to start working on it and they should slip off with no issues once you're ready to get them off. The U-bolt that came with the hitch was a little too small to sit down over the tow loop but I was able to file down the side of the tow loop slightly which allowed the U-bolt to sit down and be bolted to hold the hitch. I could not get the bolt above the muffler to ever bite so left it with 3 bolts installed. It should be plenty secure to tow a bike rack which is all I plan to do but I would be nervous about towing a trailer knowing only 3 of the bolts are in place. This was an issue with my vehicle, though, and not with the hitch.
