For cats that don't (and that's most of them) it helps deter unwanted behaviors. Can be used indoors and outdoors. Safe for pets, people, and plants.

Ingredients: Purified Water, DMDM Hydantoin, Polysorbate-20, Denatonium Benzoate, Rosemary Leaf Oil, Thyme Oil, Garlic Oil, Clove Oil
Directions
- Test on a piece of fabric or clothing to see how your cat responds.
- If your cat loves the scent: apply to beds, toys, litter boxes and rooms you'd prefer they hang out in.
- If your cat doesn't love the scent: apply to carpets, furniture, curtains, and other surfaces to discourage scratching, chewing, marking, and digging.
- Continue daily use as needed.
Before You Start: Shake bottle well before every use. Do a colorfast test. Apply Pet Training Deterrent to a hidden area. Allow area to dry completely. Observe any color changes. If color is affected, do not use.

Instructions
Before you start; shake bottle well before every use. Do a color fast test. Apply training deterrent to a hidden area, allow are to completely dry. Observe any color changes. If color is affected do not use. The first few times you use a deterrent monitor your pet. Shake bottle well. Use only on water-safe surfaces. Spray onto areas and objects that you wish to protect from pet scratching. Spray twice daily for one week and then as needed until habit is broken. For windows, doors and screens spray onto cloth and then attach cloth to affected areas.

So far this seems to be working great. I just moved homes and my male cat began peeing on my sectional couch. Same couch I had in my prior home, but for some reason he kept peeing on it, several times a day. I tried the pheromones and I'm not sure those actually did anything. I tried the sprays that are supposed to remove the smells, and nothing. I tried this as a last resort, and it appears to be working. Took a few days but then my cat started peeing less, at least on the covers we put on the sectional. We've been spraying the couch 2-3 times a day every day and so far it's working. I haven't had to clean up pee in a few days.
