We adopted a very active, and initially very anxious, female Australian Stumpy Tail Cattle Dog. I've had dogs my whole life and never had one that could escape from any collar, and most harnesses. It was almost like she turned her body inside out and reassembled when she was free. The only thing that initially worked was a slip collar that came with her. This lead worked immediately and was much safer for her than the thinner slip collar. Now she doesn't even try to get out.
