I received this product free in exchange for my honest review. The day we were preparing to open our pool, I received HTH Pool Care Algae Guard Ultra. It arrived in an easy to open bottle with clear instructions and enough product for 2 doses. My pool walls did have a little green so after brushing and vacuuming the pool I followed the easy instructions on the bottle. The grandkids were going to be swimming that afternoon and it said it was safe after a short time. Yay! There were no harsh smells, it did not even for a second cause a cloudy film so I got in and so did the kids. We could not detect any difference in the water, it felt great! It's now 2 weeks later and no signs of algae so I would say it's very effective and I'm happy with the product. This stuff is GRRRRREAT! GREAT, GREAT, GREAT. Between sprinkling this product, 1 cup of chlorine %26 sprinkling some drop out on the top of pool surface x1 a week, with a ZERO leaf %26 debris policy -- I AM able to keep my 40k pool CRYSTAL clear water clean on the REAL. I also have to vacuum the bottom x1 every 2 or 3 wks BUT I NOW NEVER RUN MY POOLS PUMP only to vacuum. NO OTHER, ZERO testing or chasing %26 buying %26 getting suckered into BUYING every OTHER "pool cleaning" NIGHTMARE fix that never worked! TRY this method %26 see if YOU don't cut your POOL owning %26 seemingly constant water maintenance down to ZERO!!!
