Favourite camera I've ever used

I use the Lumix FX1000 everywhere I go. Mostly for capturing amazing moments in my daughter's life & general nature & macro shots but this weekend I'll be using it for a Gala Ball my company has on for our disabled clients. This camera is my favourite camera I've ever used and is my favourite possession. Only downside is the battery life. It doesn't last extremely long so maybe back up and purchase a couple of extra batteries.

Definitely my A camera

I Pre-ordered this camera a few weeks after Panasonic announced it. I purchased it to replace my FZ1000. I'm glad I did. I do around 4,000 shots for a 2 day Drag Racing event. I specialise in slow shutter "Blurred Effect" I found it hard to do with the 1000. This is where the ND Filters come in. I will pan the car using burst and a shutter speed as low as 1/30th ND filter on, out of say 20 consecutive shots I hope to get at least 1 to 3 shots that are perfect. This camera is fantastic. I have sold images that are poster size with great image quality. If I'm in a difficult situation at a drag meeting where I need to raise the camera up high, I then use the 4k movie mode and extract some frames giving me an 8 megapixel image. That works wonders. So pleased with this camera. Though I wonder why that this camera is Panasonic's greatest secret. I have been searching through magazines for any articles on the fz2500 and I have not found a thing to this day. Rather disappointing that Panasonic don't want to promote their product. They are only interested in the G series. Maybe Panasonic will bring out a micro four thirds FZ series that will blow everybody's mind.. Food for thought, P

Awesome!

Mostly used on wildlife tour to date. It's fabulous - captures book print quality images that others with high-end DSLR cameras could only hope to match. Then there's the video capability - it stands apart even more. I love it and there's still heaps more to discover. It's so controllable and capable, even in the lowest light.
