Quickly returned

The WD Desktop Performance 2 TB is a WD Black drive (says Desktop Performance on the box, Black on the drive - WD2002FAEX). Looks like Western Digital is moving away from their 'color' marketing approach. Positive comments - WD support answered their phone; easy return at a Walmart store. Main issue - after initializing, partitioning and formatting (win7), the drive failed the WD Data Lifeguard Diagnostic Quick Test. Called WD support - they said return it to Walmart. I could have also RMA'd back to WD. Secondary issue - this is not the newest model WD Black drive. Look for WD2003FZEX. The Walmart on-line info does not give this information.

Two broken hard drives

I order this hard-drive and it came broken. Called and got it replaced but the second one came broken and the box was nasty and looked like someone spilled soda on it.
