Installed And Works Great

I installed it in my 2015 Ecoboost Expedition when I was doing my timing job. I used the lighter spring of the two. Be aware that the plunger will come out with the spring if you swap it, so put it in the correct orientation when you put it back in. Also, on my Expedition, the pick up tube wouldn’t push down far enough to remove the old oil pump without first removing the oil pan. So the clear the lip on the flange of the pick up tube, the oil pan may need to also come off. That added about an hour to the job on my 2WD vehicle. It could be more difficult on a 4x4. After reassembly, I held the accelerator pedal to the floor while cranking to disable spark/fuel and watched the info center until the oil pressure read “OK”, which took rounds of starting with my foot floored on the pedal.
