Melissa & Doug Wooden 8-Piece Farm Animals Chunky Puzzle

This puzzle is so amazing compared to the puzzles I had in the past for my other children. This one is real wood and appears really sturdy. The paint is so nice as well. I was hoping my youngest could use this puzzle, but he will have to wait. It is for 2 and up. But once he can use it, he is going to love it. You can use this puzzle in so many ways. You can use it to learn to master where the pieces go or you can use it to learn the animals. You can even play with the animals as well as they are big and sturdy enough. This puzzle was nicely done. I will have to get a few others for my house. Definitely recommend.

This is a nice puzzle for pre-K age children. It comes with eight farm animal pieces: a duck, a chicken, a cow, a horse, a cow, a pig, and sheep. It is cute how the duck has its duckling and the hen has its baby chick. The animals have a cheerful expression across their faces. They come on a scenic farm backdrop with the animals in the spots that make it easy for your little one to not only associate what animal goes in one slot by its shape but also by its location, i.e. the pond where the ducks are, the pig in mud. Overall, this is a nice little first puzzle for really young ones.
