I gave Fleece Blanket kits as a birthday gift to one granddaughter who turned 7 and the other who turned 8 years old. As the 8 year old and I were working on the blanket together, I asked her if she liked the gift. Her exuberant response was, "A thousand times yes!" She created her own pattern and there is lots of conversation while we work together. (The 7 year old lives across the country and hasn't had her birthday yet!)
