We stripped the venerable MMA glove back to basics and rebuilt it from the ground up, focusing on improving every aspect of the glove in the process. The result was the 4 Ounce [CRITICAL] MMA Glove by Meister, a logical evolution on a timeless design, and your new favorite piece of gear.

A glove is nothing without quality padding, so we went with the best. Custom-molded, high-density performance Profoam™ padding cradles the hand and wraps around the knuckles for superior coverage and impact protection. Extended knuckle guard padding with 3D curvature allows the hand to fall into a natural position at rest, and prevents accidental eye pokes during training.

Professional-level padding doesn’t help if the glove is misaligned during a critical strike, so the next challenge we tackled was keeping the glove in place during the rigors of an MMA bout. We flipped the classic wrist strap design on it’s head and developed our exclusive CrossLock™ strap system, which locks down the glove and prevents wrist deflection when striking. The CrossLock system works in tandem with our no-shift palm design, preventing glove movement during grappling, while still allowing full range of motion for the thumb and excellent air flow to the palm. Rounding out the package, we added a structured back of hand pad and reinforced stitching lines to help support the wrist and encourage natural hand movement.

Like any piece of Meister gear, we wanted these gloves to be able to keep up with the rugged demands of the athletes that use them, so we wrapped the entire glove in our signature Nemeios Leather™; a synthetic material renowned for it’s durability and crack resistance.
