New Skegguard keelguard 27221 Application Volvo: SX Single Prop 1995-2006

I bought this to repair the skeg on my outdrive, which had been chewed up pretty badly from various mishaps. I had to spend some time with a hammer to straighten out the remains of the existing skeg, but this sleeve fit very nicely over the top of it, and now the boat is much more maneuverable. One potential problem is that the drain hole is a bit aft, so water inside the sleeve won't drain unless you lower your outdrive. There is some room and flexibility inside the sleeve, so I don't think it will be a problem in the winter should I forget to drain it, but ice and corrosion damage may be a possibility. For now, I'm pretty happy with how good it looks, how well it fits, and how much it improves my boat's performance though.
