Fantastic camera for photos and videos
This small compact camera is fantastic. It is lightweight, full frame, great autofocus, and the photos are really impressive combined with the Tamron 17-28 f2.8. The low light capabilities are great up to 12800 iso (tested in nearly black condition). the camera is capable to see in the dark without any visible artifact or noise up to 12800 iso. I am impressed. It is easy to transfer to the Ipad with Imaging Edge Mobile and the editor allow me to easily modify the raw files. Catalyst Browse stabilization is exceptional to fix an non stabilized video. The quality of the flip screen and evf are excellent. I also added an external microphone Mono/Stereo Azden smx30, for a professional sound recording in all circumstances. The internal stereo mic is good but i wanted the best mono/stereo mic possible with control of the gain and shotgun mono mic. the azden smx30 is perfect with the Sony A7C. It is the best choice today for a professional kit at accessible price. I put an SD UHSII v90 Kingston rated 165MB/Sec for write and 285MB/Sec read to be certain to cover any modes and fast upload to the PC. It is very fast to connect to the PC and transfer the photos/videos. It is also possible to remote control the camera. All the possibilities with the camera are great. What they could improve is the efficiency of the IBIS stabilization in the futur and maybe add a vertical grip with additional button and dial for shutter speed and extra battery.. It would improve the grip of the camera. I am impress with the Gyro and Catalyst browse are capable to fix a non stabilized video, where plug ins software failed. Overall my wife and I are extremely satisfied. It is good for photo and videos and at a reasonable weight. the camera is 509 (with battery and sd card) and my lens Tamron 17-28 is 420g. I will buy soon an other lens probably the Tamron 28-200 f2.8-5.6 for travel photography. I will also test the Sony 24-105 g4, to see which one is the best. I highly recommend it.
