McCormick Gourmet Organic Ground Cardamom, 1.75 oz Bottle

there isnt much to say… it tastes like cardamon and as fresh as it can be for a spice in a jar. Bought it to make a cardamon infused yogurt sauce and it worked perfectly

I made a cardamom cake. It only calls for 1 tsp. of cardamom. The McCormick cardamom is so robust that the flavor permeated the whole cake, without over-powering it. McCormick is not stingy, either. The spice is filled to the very top of the jar. It's pricier than other brands, but worth it for the freshness and potency. I wish the bottle was unbreakable since the only space I have in my kitchen for spices is in an upper cabinet. I'm afraid if the bottle falls, it will fall into the sink, or onto the floor and break. Maybe there is a reason for McCormick choosing glass instead of metal or plastic? Growing up, I can remember McCormick spices coming in rectangular "tins". The glass is pretty, but I wish they would return to the tins. It would also protect the spice from light. I am very pleased with the McCormick cardamom. It is a wonderful, aromatic spice. The label aptly describes it as "gourmet". And it's a good value because its high quality.
