Allspice is a must-have for holiday baking when it joins cinnamon and other warm baking spices in gingerbread pumpkin pie and spice cookies. Caribbean cuisine features allspice in meat stews and Jamaican jerk seasoning where it adds fragrant peppery notes. It adds an aromatic touch to roasted sweet potatoes and squash.
