Dryer Door Latch Problem

This part was black, not white and was a little difficult to insert the female portion of the latch. It seemed just a little bigger. I previously did a replacement with an exact match and not problems. I have an issue not totally related to the part; the male portion often does not strike in the center of the latch and damages it. I noticed that the female latch slides up and down. So I taped it where I want it, but the dryer door still does not hold shut as good as it should. No where near the positive latch on the matching washing machine.

Broke first time the dryer door was shut

Black, not white like the original. The metal clamp on the new door latch was too wide to insert. Had to remove the metal clamp from the old latch and install it on the new plastic piece. Then, once its finally in place, it breaks the very first time the dryer door was shut. Do not buy this part. Absolutely worthless.
