Always consider buying better than just good tires

Good High Performance (HP) All-Season radial tire with a better than good treadwear rating (600 or higher) for the money. It is Mud and Snow rated. It does not however have the triangular seasonal conditions stamp on the tire.

Just replaced worn out OEM Bridgestones on my wife's Mazda 3 hatchback. So far like them pretty well. Interested to see how they perform in snow. In dry they are pretty good for a tire with this mileage/treadwear rating on the curvy mountain roads we drive daily. They are predictable in the wet, but give up earlier than a more performance tire as you would expect. We run Maxxis brand tires on our mountain bikes and dirt bikes and like them a lot.

I've installed this make/model tire on two cars over the past couple seasons. One is a BMW 328Xi,the other a Mazda 3 Touring. So far they have been satisfactory with a comfortable and quiet ride. If you tend to be a more 'spirited' driver you might want something else. Will buy again if they are decent in the snow this winter.
