I wanted a pair of lamps for a family room being decorated in an ocean theme and these really fit the bill! However, they could be used in almost any other decorating scheme where you'd want a blue/green pop of color. They are more than mere lamps, they're art pieces, resembling sea glass, gorgeous aqua/teal/blue. The pair are not identical but these differences add to their character. The varying swirls and bubbles in the lamp's bases are very beautiful. They're packed with great care and the lampshades are nice, too. I will reemphasize what is mentioned on the website, that the color of the lamp base depends on the color of the light bulbs you use. They look more green if you use soft white 2700K and look more blue if you use daylight 5000K. I went with the daylight bulbs. Love them.
