The plugs are exactly as described (2" diameter bird board plugs constructed of unfinished aluminum sheet metal with louver slots backed up with fine screening). They have a few small protrusions around their periphery to prevent the plug from backing out once you push it into your standard 2" diameter bird board hole. The fit was fine. It takes only firm hand pressure to insert. If some of the holes are a bit undersize (maybe due to paint buildup), a bit of sanding or scrapping will enlarge the hole satisfactorily. Or, you can just use a piece of wood to protect the face of the plug while you gently tap it into place with a hammer ot mallet . My only reservation is that it took nearly three weeks for the plugs to be delivered.
