Marlin Men's Light Weight Deck Boots, Size 10, Navy

I have lower back issues that only crop up when I wear heavy shoes or shoes that don't have some heel height. And my feet need a certain arch support, flexibility and room in the toe box. My heels need some cushioning as well. These are exceedingly lightweight (so they don't strain my lower back) and have arch support. There's a brace under the shoe that keeps the arch from collapsing. Also, it has just the right amount of cushion. Too much and I feel like I'm on a pogo stick. I don't know if it's me, or these guys put a lot of thought into these. I wear white ones in the wet garden so I can see ticks. (I spray them with permethrin as well). I have a blue pair to go with jeans in wet weather, for high fashion - ha! I actually like the way they look. They're also the right height. They don't hit you in the back of the calf when you walk, restricting your stride. I love these. What a bargain.

They are rather bulky, more like work boots, and I have not yet tried them on a slippery deck, but there are not many yachting seaboots available at a reasonable price.
