Marketside Hearts of Romaine Salad, 10 oz Bag

The lettuce itself is fine except there are some pretty big chunks in there. My main complaint is that I've noticed little bits of carrots ending up in the bags which isn't an issue for me personally, but my mother is VERY allergic to raw carrots. Imagine if she had this, or someone else (who may not have noticed any carrots) served it to her? Even if the bag has no visible carrots but the lettuce has still come into contact with them and I served it to her, it would still cause a reaction. The point is that this lettuce is apparently coming into contact with other produce which is an issue for those with allergies. I have also noticed the more stringy colored bits from the “chopped romaine blend” bag. Again, not a problem to me, but just further proves that the lettuce is obviously coming into contact with other products somewhere within the production line. This was the worst packaged salad I have ever purchased. It primarily consisted of chunks of the thick, white, "core" pieces of the stem that would normally be discarded. Let me be clear, I am not talking about cut pieces of romaine with attached leaf lettuce on either side of the core, I am talking about only stem pieces with no leaf lettuce attached - aka TRASH. In addition to them selling me a package of primarily stem pieces, it was all turning reddish brown - aka OLD. I will never buy this again and would strongly recommend you purchase a different type/brand. I would be ashamed to put my name on this and sell it to someone.
