Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope Launch Edition, Ubisoft, Nintendo Switch, [Physical]

This was a gift for my great grandson. He was excited he loved it. He plays it continuously. I have to make him get off the game, but and even for the price when it went on sale, it was good. It'll still be cheaper, but it was great. Love this game.

An enjoyable game but not as great as the first entry. Completely changing the game mechanics from the first one was a bold move but it was done quite well. As fun as the game is, the tactical combat from the first entry is far superior. This new entry to the series adds more exploration to game mechanics making much more similar to a tapered Mario game (which isn't a bad thing) but unfortunately, it takes away from that tactical gameplay which this game's style is known for. The game can be repetitive but with an extensive cast of playable characters, powerups, and worlds to explore, you'll still find enjoyment in the gameplay of you're a fan of the first entry.
