I live in an old apartment where everything is as cheap as possible. The flimsy plastic toilet seat that was here when I moved in always slipped around when used, so I found a better but still cheap plastic replacement that served me well for a few years. I wasn't shopping for a better toilet seat but happened to see this ionclearance for $8, and I figured it was worth it. It's nothing fancy, but it is sturdy and super easy to install -- even easier than the one I had previously. It's kind of silly to be all excited about a toilet seat, but after 8 years of plastic, with a lid you can't even sit on, having this much sturdier, more substantial seat is practically life-changing. Finally I can close the lid and sit on top if need be, and I'm not worried about plastic cracking. This is a great very basic toilet seat for anyone not wanting to spend a lot of money, and it didn't require a single tool to install.
