More bowls the better!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've owned my KitchenAid stand mixer for over 30 years and had both the original metal bowl and a glass mixing bowl. Now this ceramic bowl has joined the party and the 3 of them are having a blast! It was great to have the glass bowl as a back up to the metal bowl. If one was being used, it wouldn't hold me up on the next recipe I just grabbed the other bowl. Since getting the fired clay ceramic bowl I have tried all types of recipes to see how the surface would react. First thing I tried was a meringue because they are so finicky. If the bowl surface holds onto fat of any kind from another recipe or not washing completely clean your meringue will fail, but it was perfect! Cookies, cakes, bread doughs, frostings of all kinds, hot syrups, candies - this bowl is up to the task. So far there is no sign of chipping, cracking or crazing of the glaze and now I can have three bowls with different recipes going at the same time!! Holiday baking will be a breeze this year!
