This seat is a step above your normal plastic tolit seats. The setup is very different and makes the seat extremely sturdy and makes it way easier to pull off for cleaning. This is an incredibly reasonable price for a toilet lid that has a soft close… not to mention the ease of installation. I had my doubts when I saw how lightweight it was, but for the price you can't beat it. We've probably had it installed for about two weeks now so time will tell on its longevity. I only gave it four stars for quality because it is lightweight, but hopefully that won't make any difference , again, will tell.
