I had a garlic press before. It was round. I have been moving around a lot for the past eight and a half years.. not settled or established anywhere yet.. So, with the moving, my garlic press is still somewhere in storage.. I never saw a square press with the press that is removable.. I mainly picked it because it was cheaper.. just the mainstay brand.. but it is good.. I like that the press is removable so it makes it easier to clean.. even though the price was good, it doesn't look like it was cheaply made..

Very good bang for your Buck

I love fresh garlic and a good press is hard to find, I purchased this one because my good expensive one broke. I have to say that I am truly impressed with the feel, quality and performance of this budget priced Garlic press. I started out with one clove at a time to throwing two and three in without any worry. I was concerned about the handle and materials after reading the reviews, But I can assure you that I feel no flex or give in the handle and I'm a man with strong hands. This is by far the best Garlic Press I've owned and I've been around for a bit.
