great design and it's definitely worth the money the crystal is heavy which means less likely to brake which is a plus brought these and 8 others through shipping and incredibly the 8 with a lesser value I had one breakage in the delivery for the lesser value product. So yes you get what you pay for and this is definitely worth every penny in turns of knowing you'll get your money's worth

Bottom 3/8 " is solid glass (hard) to tip over. The glass is thick and durable. I've knocked over one that was half full, with no breakage or cracks. Slightly larger at top for easy cleaning. When you see them in cabinet in two columns of three, they scream commercial quality. Simply, their a nice set of glassware. You'd expect to pay more than you did. The taper forbids slippage. Top contact edge is slightly larger rounded perfect circle. I like em, and they look good.
