Lift or transfer

I had several falls at home that resulted in several injuries to my back. Subsequent surgery left me in chronic pain, which resulted in a stimulator implanted in my back to alleviate pain. I bought this in case, I fell in the future, my husband would be able to get me off the floor without calling the ambulance. I also use it to transfer from my chair over to exercise bench I purchased. It has been worth every cent I paid for it.

Loosen screws before assembly

This is my second shower chair. My first one collapsed after a month of use so sturdiness was a focus. The crossbar brace is what drove me to this chair ands it is the right chair for me. The crossbar keeps the legs secure and I can adjust this chair higher which makes it matter easier to stand from. The assembly instructions were a tiny bit vague, especially where it comes to attaching the crossbars. These are reassembled and screwed tightly together. That leaves some people to throw up their hands in disgust. The answer is simple. In assemblies where screws are involved, the common instruction is to attach all items but DON'T tighten anything down until everything is attached. Go get a screw driver, loosen the screw on the brace, attach it in the correct orientation (it definitely has a top and bottom, then tighten all the screws.

Comfy, adjustable and very sturdy

I tore my ACL and had surgery. Then 1 month after slipped climbing up in my truck and fractured my knee tearing my muscles and tendons. I was on severe pain to raise or lower my leg and any gravity on it killed. This chair is a lifesaver! It has adjustable height, which is perfect to fit an angle that is not painful. The seat is comfy and not slippery. We have a standard shower and it fits perfectly without being unstable. It doesn't tip or move when you shift your weight to get off it. And for the price it was a lifesaver, delivered 1 day later.. I couldn't ask for more. After surgery when my leg couldn't get wet I could sit on this and prop my leg on a chair outside the tub at the same height.
