It goes up pretty much instantly. Take down can be tricky if you're unfamiliar with pop up tents. This is my second (larger) tent, so I'm used to it. There are video on youtube showing how to do it. I really like the dark teal color. There is a bunch of room on the inside. Very spacious. There is also what looks like clear tape sealant on the sewn seams. I haven't it tested it in the rain though. The bug screen is very fine mesh, so good for the smallest bugs, but will slow air flow if you need it. There's a storage pocket hanging on the inside, and hook for a lantern on one end. I like it because I don't have to mess with poles and things. It folds down into about a 3 ft circle, so not as compact as a pole tent when packed, and not really suitable for hiking, back packing. I looked at a lot of tents, and I would buy this one again if something happened to the first one.
