I love this pan as I do all of my cast iron cookware from lodge. The first thing I did was to rinse the pan out with hot water, towel dried the pan, and heated it up on the stove to make sure it was dry. Next I wiped it down with light coating of veg oil then proceeded to making corn bread in it, when the corn bread was done I turned the pan over and the cornbread fell right out of the pan....5 stars for this one.

Awesome Buffalo Lodge
100 % USA skillet commemorating the Buffalo Nickel or 'North American bison' give me a nostalgic feel for the western wild west, rugged out back of our founding fathers. I don't cook over a campfire anymore but I do love to cook with my cast iron skillets bake/stove top. I show off this skillet at every chance and it does make for envy/lively conversations. If you care for it properly it will last for generations. I'm a firm believer in using my collection (not just for display). I have several pieces of Lodge and every piece is great. The inside is slightly beveled (but that is how the pans are made now). The handles make for easier lifting/handling of the skillet. I love the design my only thought of longing is I wish I had an Indian Head nickel (front design of nickel) to display with the Buffalo when not using.

I am a huge lover of cast iron cookware , having over 50 skillets in my collection, a majority of them being lodge! You always know your getting a piece of history and quality with lodge cookware! I've never had any issues with any pieces of my lodge cookware ! This is a collectors skillet that I've been dying for since before Christmas! They only have a limited run of these so I had to get my hands on one ! It cooks like any other lodge skillet, superb!!!! If you haven't made the switch from Teflon to cast iron, do it now! Cast iron is just as easy to clean and keep seasoned as Teflon. You will never get a better sear ! I will never have to replace my cookware unless it breaks! Saves me so much money! This is a beautiful piece!
