We care about quality and are extremely picky about where our green coffee comes from. We work in a hybrid model where a portion of our coffees come from direct trade relationships with the farmers themselves, and the others are sourced from the most respected importing companies in Specialty Coffee. This guarantees that the farmers are being paid fair prices for their work which allows them to reinvest in their companies and communities. When you purchase single-origin coffee, that coffee has unique characteristics that are inherited from the soil it is grown in. As a specialty coffee roaster that specializes in single-origin coffee, we pride ourselves on roasting with a style that highlights those characteristics in every batch. Asociación de Productores de Café Diferenciados y Especiales de Guatemala (ASPROCDEGUA) is a producing organization that was founded by a master cupper named Noe Quintero. There are 664 contributing members, 394 of whom have organic certification. The producing members own small farms, an average of 2 hectares each, on which they plant coffee as well as other crops for diversification, including bananas, citrus fruit like oranges and lemons, avocado, guava, and cassava. The organization offers its members access to technical assistance and routinely provides services such as soil analysis, test farms, and social projects based on food security, education, and nutrition.
