Little Giant 800 oz. Water Base For Livestock

I bought 2 of these recently as replacements for Miller waterers whose hinges had rusted out but they were over 35 years old, so I'd say I got my money's worth from the originals. The design has not changed in all these years, so I think it's safe to say it has been a success if Miller hasn't felt a need to make changes. The only problem I ever had with them is the float valves sometimes need adjustment. Eventually the little rubber plugs over the water inlet wear or get pushed in too far and have to be adjusted or replaced. The waterer comes with one extra rubber plug. They lasted so long the plastic shield over the water inlet had to occasionally be replaced because plastic doesn't last forever. It's also possible to replace the entire float assembly if needed. It these new ones last as long as the old ones did, they should be good for at least 20 years!
