Lisa Ann Marsoli: Disney Classic: Good Night, Sleep Tight! (Board Book)

This book is very cute, it's a board book with only 4 pages, but each page opens to a new two page image from a different Disney movie. It starts with Dumbo, next is the Lion King, then 101 Dalmatians, followed by Bambi and ending with Alice in Wonderland. Each page has a different “touch and feel” area with a unique texture that's integrated into the picture. For example, Dumbo's ear is a grey vinyl and baby Simba has real golden brown fur. There isn't a ton of text in the book which is good because my child doesn't let me hang on to it very long to read it anyway before grabbing for the book to touch the pages and look at the pictures. The pictures are bright and colorful, very fun to look at. The “touch and feel” textures make reading book a lot more fun and engaging for babies and toddlers. My daughter loves this book and feeling all the different textured spots on the pages. I love that it's a board book since that makes it a lot more durable for use by babies and toddlers. I love each of these Disney movies, it brings me back to my childhood when I used to watch them as a kid in the 90's. Highly recommend this book. The only area for improvement would be adding more movie themed pages and additional textures but realistically, the target audience has a pretty short attention span anyway so it's perfectly fine as it is. :)
