LG Slim Portable DVD Writer fills the bill

I bought this to replace an older external drive that would no longer work reliably on my workstation. I am using Windows 11 Home and the LG works perfectly. The cable provided with it is quite short, so if you're tempted (like me) to get a longer one be SURE to get one with an EMI filter (which is the cylinder at the end of the cable, like the one that came with it). It will NOT work reliably or at all using a cable without the filter. I use the LG to rip with Exact Audio Copy or Music Bee and all the rips were perfect. It is slower ripping than my previous device, but, in fairness, the prior drive was externally powered whereas this one is only powered through the USB cable. I have not had it long, so I can't comment on durability yet. Pros: Works with Windows 11; reliable and precise. Cons: Slow ripping; uses antiquated mini-USB cable.
