Linon Kolton Butcher Block Kitchen Island 2 Baskets in Black/Natural Wood

Over all I am very pleased with this island. Pros: Very sturdy and stable. It is even nicer than the picture and goes with our contemporary decor. The island is a good size for a mid-sized kitchen, easily positioned since it is square in shape. The butcher block top is solid and cleans easily. I do not cut directly on it since it has a glossy finish. It is very tall which is good for us, but I would not recommend for a shorter person. Cons: There were issues when it was unpacked. Two of the dowels embedded in the wood pieces were broken off and the plastic feet caps were broken. The baskets edges were frayed badly. We called the company and they sent out replacements in about 3 days. Also, the basket rails did not fit where illustrated in the instruction sheet, which has no written instructions, just diagrams. The island looks great in the kitchen and we use it all the time. Good investment and I wish I had purchased it a year ago!

Bought this before Christmas and was a little hesitant that I would get what I paid for. But pleasantly surprised that quality was much better. The top is not a solid 4 inches of butcher block but you would only know that if you are the one who put it together. Recommend using glue with screws and power tools to really secure. Otherwise it tended to be a bit wobbly. We love this in our lake cabin!
