I bought this dress for my daughter for a themed costume party and it is a costume, so don't expect a photoshopped dress. The fabric is like a light mid area soft linen and is light weight but opaque, there were no issues with it being see through. The dress is well made for factory produced and fit exactly as expected. The apron is well made so it lays properly and you aren't concerned the ties will pull off. The criss crossing was tricky for her at first but she caught on to it quick. The shoulders are perfectly puffed and structured well. She did mention the choker was a little uncomfortable so she just wrapped it around her wrist and it made a cute accessory. It is only the dress and apron, so I would recommend a puffy petticoat, which was perfect for her. The skirt sits well without one, but has enough room for an extra fluffy petticoat underneath.
