Have this in both of my 55 gallon tanks. A sponge filter on one end and this on the other. Very little sound. Easy maintenance. Great price.

It really is quiet and powerful!
It works perfectly for my 20 gallon turtle tank. And my turtle absolutely loves to stand under the waterfall. Its also got a plastic screen like cover inside that keeps him from messing with it
