Nice bathtub, prefer over cast iron

I've used two of these tubs on remodeling jobs and they are a quality product. A definite improvement over cast iron. The light weight makes them easy to install. Be sure to inspect the finish very carefully [...] (in the proper light). If there is a flaw you need to find it when it [...], not after its installed!

Nice deep tub

Most regular tubs aren't that deep to soak in one without sticking half out, not this one. With the flipped overflow there is plenty of water to soak in without half your body sticking half out. The anti-slip bottom is very good and the tub cleans up easily.

Wonderful tub!

We wanted a tub to replace our 84-year-old cast-iron tub. We replaced the old bathroom entirely, but wanted it to look like it fit in the old house: not too modern. We also did not want acrylic. This tub is perfect. The Americast feels like cast iron without the weight, and we like the porcelain surface. Also, we wanted a comfortable tub that you can soak in, and we wanted it to hold a lot of water. The slope on the end of this is very, very comfortable, which is not true of most tubs, and the water capacity is greater than most; the sides of the tub are higher than average. If you're replacing an old bathroom but don't want the cutsey clawfoot type, get this one!
