Lenovo 81JW0001US Chromebook S330, 14" HD Display, Mediatek MT8173C CPU 4GB RAM, 32GB eMMC SSD, Chrome OS, Black

I got this chromebook on sale for nearly half price ($159, plus I had gift cards so it ended only costing $122) after being unable to procure an HP touchscreen chromebook on a Black Friday deal that sold out immediately. I was surprised to get a chromebook this price and was especially pleased I was able to get it with free next day delivery after fighting out of stocks for over a month on chromebooks. We mainly use it for my son's hybrid schooling on Google Classroom and I use it for streaming content. Setup was quick and painless, about 10 minutes since I added several new apps and customized the home screen. Not needing an antivirus or software to install is a huge plus for those of us who really only need it for a few select functions. Just connect to your Wifi, log in to your Google account, go through a brief tutorial on apps and settings and you're off to the races! This Lenovo performs as well if not better than other models I've used recently. The picture is adequate with limited viewing angles being my only complaint. I was able to watch Netflix and stream football being pleased with the quality of both. Sound is good, but the speakers are placed underneath, which means the sound can be muffled if it isn't slightly elevated. The keyboard and touchpad are much more responsive than some I've used and the browser and apps load swiftly. The bluetooth connected easily with my Sony receiver to play music over stereo speakers. The battery seems to be giving about 10 hours with varied usage and the build is pretty solid. All in all I'm very pleased with this purchase! Thank you for a great deal!

This was my first Chromebook. As a longtime PC user, I had always considered Chromebooks to be underpowered. For a PC, they are, but Chrome OS doesn't need the same hardware as a PC. After reading favorable reviews and seeing it offered at such a great price, I decided to give it a try. I am not sorry I did! I'm very impressed! I still have a desktop PC for my main computer but for the things that I need a laptop for, this fits the bill perfectly! It does everything I need and doesn't do the things that I disliked about my previous laptops - boots quickly, runs cool (without a fan!) and gives me amazing battery life! I'm very pleased!
