Earthquake Dethatcher Tractor Attachment

I love this little machine, it works great. There's one thing I would like people to be aware of. You have to store this, even if it's for a short time in the check oil position. If you don't store it in the up side down position, the oil will run into the cylinders. Makes it very hard to start. If you store it properly, it starts on the second or third pull. . I hope this helps anybody else with that problem. I believe it's called hydrostatic lock up.

First of all, you have to understand that this is a gasoline engine powered detaching device. When you are done using it, your lawn is not going to look like your freshly combed hair in the morning. It's going to look like heck for a couple of weeks until it grows back, but it will grow back and be more beautiful and more healthy than ever before. I found this dethatching kit on my Earthquake 33cc tiller to be an absolute beast! I was pleasantly amazed at how well this cheap $100 kit worked. Installation required a couple of small wrenches but still it was really quite easy to do. Do not try to use it without the included guard, it really throws a lot of debris especially if you pull it backwards as some people recommend. I found it to work very well in either direction. So far I've only done my backyard which needed the most work, but I'm very eager to do other areas in my front and side yards so that I can fertilize and reseed to thicken up my lawn. A very well spent $100. Git you one! P.S. don't wear shorts while using this as it will fill your boots with dirt like you would not believe, plus it kind of stings. Have fun!
