Leak Stopper 1 Gallon Black Rubberized Roof Patch is a revolutionary roof patching and repair advancement. This long-lasting rubberized repair is specially formulated to penetrate damaged areas and instantly stop roof leaks! The secret is Penetrex, a unique penetrating oil that reaches deep into the crack and forms a complete seal. With the addition of liquid rubber, this flexible, high-performance plastic cement provides a superior watertight bond that will stop problem leaks for good. Product formulated to be used year-round. Leak Stopper® Rubberized Roof Patch is ideal for various roof surfaces including Shingles, Built-Up Roofs, SBS Modified Roofs, Metal Roofs, and many other surfaces. It is highly recommended to reinforce the repair with a strip of Universal Patching Fabric. Work material to an even consistency over and into the area to be repaired approximately 1/8” to 1/2” thick, two or three inches beyond the problem area. Embed fabric into the cement and cover with a second layer of cement. Form a feathered edge with cement where chimney’s, vent pipes, and other projections meet the roof line. DO NOT EXPOSE DIRECT HEAT/FLAMES OR THIN. Best used when surface temperatures are between 50° and 120 F. In colder weather (50° and below), product should be stored in heated room (70° to 80°F.) at least 24 hours before application to promote ease of application.
