I'm Not Usually All That Lucky...

Perhaps I just got lucky but these chips taste fresh even though the expiration date is only one month away. There were actually 41 bags inside the box instead of 40. After reading some of the other reviews we figured maybe there might be something "fishy" going on. The chips arrived sooner than expected but the tracking information was screwy. It said they were coming via FedEx but the tracking number was not a FedEx number. Then it said they had been delivered which was a bit disturbing because we didn't receive them, nor did my next-door neighbors. Finally, a few hours after they supposedly had been delivered, they showed up on the Amazon truck! Considering that every store near me that sells large quantities of Lay's Potato Chips is almost always out of stock it makes me wonder just how these boxes of chips managed to remain unsold up until very near their expiration date. Perhaps a truckload got mis-marked and were lost in a warehouse and someone discovered them just in time to sell them before the expiration date.

The potato chips are often broken, which I guess is due to shipping and handling! They need to Stamp Fragile or please handle with care

A marginal product

This was a box of 40 small bags of potato chips with the use-by date close to expired. Eight of the bags were ruined - either open or smashed, but the box was so cheap that it may still have been a good deal. Nevertheless, I think I'll pass on this in the future - I would prefer a fresher product with less wastage.
