A Mirror Finish is not for Gripping.
I think the mirror-chrome finish is not good for the portion of the seat post that the seat grips or for the portion that the seat-tube grips. I had to apply too much torque to tighten securely. Those should be rougher surfaces. Otherwise, it accomplished for me what I wanted: a set-back for the seat.
