Lavish Home 62-inch Adjustable Floor Lamp with Dimmable Light and Bendable Neck

I bought this lamp to help me see the fine detail in the small doll clothes I make. The light is bright, without being blinding and truly makes a difference. I think I'm going to buy another one to use over my sewing machine area. It's a great task lamp.

I love this lamp (but in black). It sits behind the couch and provides the perfect light for reading or hand sewing. They last forever, it seems. It says that it's 5', but once you bend the neck to focus the light down, it is about 3 1/2 to 4' tall. Sometimes you have to push the light bulb back into its socket to get it to come on, so that part's not perfect. We twist the goose neck often to focus the light on one side or the other when only one of us is on the couch and that may be what causes the lightbulb to loosen in its socket. Our prior one was this silver color and I wish it came in a few more colors so it could coordinate a little better with my living room furniture, but the black is attractive. Our old one lasted about 10 years, but probably had many more years in it. It met with an unfortunate accident just after I discovered that it came in black.
