I'm overall Pleased with my Tripp Lite UPS unit.

I'm using this UPS unit to maintain power to my essential electronic equipment (i.e. computer, cable modem, home security system, etc) in my home office in the event of a short (i.e. < 1 hr) power outage. I first tested it out by first charging it fully, attaching a remote electronic speaker (Alexa) + a 23 W CFL light to it, then cutting the external power to it. It kept both devices operating for nearly 75 mins before running out of power then. I'm pleased with it so far now. My only real complaint here is its use of a sealed lead-acid back up battery, which makes the unit rather heavy and hard to move in a tight space.

AT 60 I decided to try digital painting. Ha, is Picasso can start at 60 so can I, I thought. This meant re-arranging some of my computers. As I was no longer using my server stand for anything more than a place to keep my TRS-80 Model 100 computers, the choice was clear. I had been able to acquire a Wacom Cintiq 21UX to use as my primary drawing display which put my Toshiba Portege as the backup/inking tablet. The investment required additional protection and I started looking. I knew Tripp-Lite from as far back as the 1980s and stopped looking at other brands. Never more than two computers on at a time and a USB KVM to keep only two monitors live, I selected the 900VA. My budget kind of helped in the decision too. The 900VA has been great. I am in Arizona and the power can flicker when the heat gets in excess of 100 all day/night. Not to worry, the line is smooth as silk for my computers and automatic shutdown is such a relief. Never a bother to setup, Tripp-Lite tower over the competition.
